With the long-awaited release of Pragmata just around the corner, Capcom released a new trailer focusing on the story and the characters.
Interestingly, we get a last-minute reveal before release, and it’s another child-like Pragmata like the protagonist Diana. Her name is Eight, and she appears to hold the key to defeating IDUS.
Ultimately, it seems that Diana and Hugh have to leave her behind, but not before she passes on her knowledge to Diana herself. It’ll certainly be interesting to see how it’ll play out in the story.
We also get to see more interactions between Diana and Hugh themselves, which will be central to the game’s story and gameplay.
Considering just how long fans have been waiting for this game, it has large shoes to fill. Yet, what we have seen so far and the demo I played at Tokyo Game Show are very promising.
You can check out the trailer below, and see if it helps push you on the hype train from Capcom’s newest original IP.
Pragmata releases on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2 on April 17, 2026.
It was originally announced with a 2022 release, but it was delayed several times, so much so that it almost feels unreal that we’re only three days off from its launch.
If you’d like to see more, you can check out the previous trailer, another featuring the world view, the reveal of the Nintendo Switch 2 port, another trailer promoting pre-orders, and one showcasing the shelter.
