First of all, during the livestreamed event we got the reveal of Kain R. Heinlein. We know him as the final boss of Garou: Mark of the Wolves, but in the new game he’ll be playable.

Yet, that’s far from everything, as we get the reveal of the open beta test including Rock Howard, Terry Bogard, Mai Shiranui, Hotaru Futaba, B. Jenet, Preecha, Vox Reaper, and Kain R. Heinlein.

It’ll happen from February 20 at 00:00 a.m. PST to February 24 at 23:59 p.m. PST. It’ll be on PS5, PS4, Steam, and Xbox Series X|S.

Next, we get to see the DLC costume for Terry Bogard that will be offered as a bonus for the special edition alongside three days of early access (from April 21, 2025).

And there’s more, with the reveal of the full roster of the Season Pass 1. We already knew about Ken and Chun-Li from Street Fighter (coming respectively in summer 2025 and winter 2025), but we’re also getting Andy Bogard in summer 2025, Joe Higashi in fall 2025, and Mr. Big in early 2026.

You can check out the trailers below (You can find the Japanese version for Kain voiced by Yuichi Nakamura on the official YouTube channel).

Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves is releasing on April 24, 2025, for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves is a brand-new fighting game and the sequel to the old and glorious Fatal Fury series, known in Japan as Garou Densetsu (Legend of the Hungry Wolf).

The franchise, which spanned the Neo Geo era before going dormant, is known and loved by many fans not only for its gameplay but also for its intricate storytelling and interesting characters.

If you’d like to see more, we recently saw the reveal of Gato and Marco Rodrigues. The game will also appear at the Esports World Cup 2025.

In other fighting game news, earlier today Cygames revealed four characters for Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising, while French Bread showcased another for Under Night In-Birth II Sys:Celes. Lastly, Bushiroad announced a release date for Hunter x Hunter Nen x Impact.
