SCS Software has released the 1.59 Open Beta for Euro Truck Simulator 2, releasing the Benelux rework, adding the Volvo Trucks Experience Center and Thermo King branding, and plenty more.
To start with, the Benelux rework goes live with the Euro Truck Simulator 2 1.59 Open Beta. This is a complete rebuild of the original Belgium, Netherlands, and Luxembourg maps from the ground up. With this comes revamped cities, including the following:
- Amsterdam
- Groningen
- Rotterdam
- Brussels
- Liège
- Luxembourg City
There are also new locations, like Antwerp, the home of one of the largest container ports in Europe, the DAF Trucks facility.
Pictures from the areas around the update are available below, and fans can check out the blog here to learn more about the Benelux rework.

The 1.59 Open Beta also added the Volvo Trucks Experience Center in Gothenburg, Sweden. This is an area where users can test their trucking skills in a driving circuit or check out vehicle handling.
An entrance to the center isn’t available on the GPS, so users will need to drive around Gothenburg to find the entrance. This is available for players with the Scandinavia DLC.

Additionally, the trailer refrigeration units on trucks in Euro Truck Simulator 2 will now be branded with Thermo King. These are the A-360, A-400, A-500, SLXi 300, and SLXi 400 Thermo King refrigeration units, along with the UT-1400R unit.

Like its sister game, American Truck Simulator, the Euro Truck Simulator 2 1.59 Open Beta also adds new finances and damage widgets, along with a Tow to Road feature, a redesign of the Skills Screen, and several quality of life changes.
