Today, Frontier Developments released Elite Dangerous Version 4.3.3.0, also known as The Lynx Highliner update, for PC via Steam.
Elite Dangerous Version 4.3.3.0 marks the debut of the Lynx Highliner, the first dedicated medium-sized passenger ship from Zorgon Peterson. This update focuses on high-capacity transport and rescue operations, introducing several major features for the vessel.
The Lynx Highliner is designed as a utilitarian, high-capacity vessel for Commanders who want to move large numbers of people safely, setting a new benchmark for medium ships by carrying up to 225 passengers. The ship features multiple landing ramps and unique front/rear entrances for faster boarding, and is outfitted with one Large and four Medium Hardpoints, making it the most secure passenger liner currently available.
The update also adds new Mk. II Business and Economy Class cabins, providing a 1.5x increase in passenger capacity compared to standard models, featuring an updated UI to accommodate these higher capacities. Missions have even been adjusted, adding bulk evacuations, passenger mission variants for medium-sized landing pads, and increased spawn rates for passenger missions in colonized systems.
Additional content includes Distant Worlds 3 Decals and three Lynx Highliner bundles, available in the Arx Store: Standard (0 Arx), Stellar Upgrade, and Galactic Upgrade. Weapon suppression and sound-balancing issues have also been fixed, along with a handful of other quality-of-life changes listed here.
If you’re unfamiliar with Elite Dangerous, it’s a space simulator currently available for PC, Xbox One, and PS4, but the console versions are limited and aren’t getting recent expansions and updates.
