Eagle Dynamics announced that the F-15C coming to DCS World will be available in two different versions from different eras.
This decision comes from community feedback and brings an early and a late version from the Multi-Stage Improvement Program (MISP) II that evolved the Eagle.
Specifically, we’ll get a Late MSIP II variant from 2005 and an Early MSIP II variant from 1991.
Both versions will have the same F100-PW-220 engines and will feature the colour Programmable Armament Control System (PACS), Non-Cooperative Target Recognition (NCTR), the Tactical Electronic Warfare System (TEWS), the Air-to-Air Interrogator (AAI), a Data Transfer Module (DTM), a coolie switch on the throttle, and a pilot model in the cockpit.
The Late MSIP II (2005) will have the AN/APG-63(V)1 radar, INS/GPS navigation, the MIDS Fighter Data Link (FDL), the Joint Helmet Mounted Cueing System (JHMCS), the Multi-Purpose Colour Display (MPCD) with PACS and SIT pages, six DTC-programmable RWR threat tables, NVIS, and the F-15E control stick grip.
It’ll be armed with AIM-120s available on all pylons, the M61A1 20mm cannon, AIM-9L/M/P3/X, AIM-7F/M/MH, AIM-120B/C, and AIM-9X, working with the JHMCS to lock where you look.
The Early MSIP II will come with the AN/APG-63 radar, INS and TACAN navigation, the original control stick, a single DTC-programmable RWR threat table, and the MPCD with the PACS page only.
It’ll be armed with the sameM61A1 20mm cannon, plus AIM-7 and AIM-9 missiles. The AIM-120 will be available only from 1994 onward.
This early version represents the fighter from 1985 to 2004, including Operation Desert Storm. You can find a comparison table on the official forums.
Three packages will be available at the same time (with no date revealed yet): the late, the early, and a bundle with both priced at $79.99. The price for the single versions has not been announced.
The late will be available to fly first, with the early basically working as a pre-order until its release at a later time.
The F-15C Eagle was announced in January 2025, and you can read a more recent update as well.
DCS World is available exclusively for PC.
