During a livestream from the developer’s offices, we got to see a detailed roadmap until September 2025, with “more to come” after October, albeit that part was not detailed.

Following the early access on February 6 and the official release on February 11, in March we’ll see content coming for the Crossroads of the World Collection included in both Deluxe and Founders Editions.

It’ll be split into two releases. The first in early March will include Ada Lovelace as a scientific leader, and two civilizations, Carthage and Great Britain. On top of that, we’ll get 4 new natural wonders.

The second release in late March will include Simon Bolivar as the leader and Bulgaria and Nepal as its two civilizations. During the same period, two free content updates (1.1.0 and 1.1.1) are planned, including two new events and two natural wonders (the Bermuda Triangle and Mount Everest).

Between April and September we’ll see content coming to the Right To Rule Collection included in the Founders Edition. We’ll get 2 leaders, 4 civs, and 4 world wonders. None of them have been revealed for the moment

Of course, the paid DLC will continue to be accompanied by free updates.

The developers mentioned that among the hot items that they want to include in the free updates as soon as possible are local hot-seat multiplayer, the ability to customize settlement names, and the ability to play a single age in multiplayer. More map types are also something the developers are looking at.

You can see Great Britain, Carthage, and Ada Lovelace’s animation in the video below.

Today we also got the reveal of Friedrich, including his Oblique persona that will be in the base game, and his Baroque personal that will be included in the Deluxe and Founders Editions of the game.

Sid Meier’s Civilization VII releases on February 11, 2025, for PS5, PS4, PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.

If you plan ti play on PC, you can check out the system requirements.
