Koei Tecmo has revealed a lot of new information for Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories and the Envisioned Land, including a release date, several looks at the gameplay, and a new trailer.
Atelier Yumia was first teased last week at the Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase. The story follows Yumia, an alchemist from the remains Aladissian Empire. The empire fell unexpectedly after thriving on alchemy, and the remains of its civilization now consider alchemy a taboo art.
Yumia and her traveling companions search for the truth about the empire’s past, learning secrets and unveiling lost memories. After Yumia’s mother’s death, the alchemist is hyper-focused on learning and deciding what is right for her. Learning the secrets about her mother, who was also an alchemist, is another focal point of Yumia’s journey.
Yumia’s companions include Viktor von Duerer and Isla von Duerer, siblings who are a part of the Aladiss Research Team. Others are shown joining them, including Flammi, Rutger Arendt, Nina Friede, and Lenja.
