Today, announced a brand new club is coming to kick off in EA Sports FC 26: Zlatan FC. Fans will finally be able to play everyone’s favorite Swedish icon, Zlatan Ibrahimović, using his preferred position – all of them.
Those who follow soccer – or even the television show Ted Lasso, which parodied him in Season 3 – closely know that Zlatan Ibrahimović once famously said he could play all 11 positions. Now he finally gets his chance in EA Sports FC 26, as Zlatan FC will be available across Kick Off in FC 26, and can be found in the Rest of the World section featuring a bespoke kit and logo inspired by (and requested by) himself.
“Zlatan is pleased to finally be able to express himself in all areas of the pitch,” said Zlatan FC Manager, Goalkeeper, Striker, Defender, and Midfielder Zlatan Ibrahimović. “Fans will no longer have to decide who to play in what position, because they will have the best player available – me.”
Zlatan FC boasts a distinctive visual identity that authentically represents the former Swedish international, who is known on and off the pitch as one of the boldest personalities and fiercest strikers in the sport. The team’s official logo is said to encompass a tradition of evolution; the same evolution that marked Zlatan’s path to stardom, and features a bold and striking ‘Z’ that stands for, well, Zlatan.
Alongside the kick-off mode, he will also be one of the 12 FUT Icons coming to this year’s version of Ultimate Team. Each player in that list served to inspire the new Archetypes system coming in EA Sports FC 26, giving fans the option to fit their play style, each coming with their own set of unique characteristics to make them stand out from the pack.
EA Sports FC 26 will be released on September 26, 2025, for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, Amazon Luna, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2, and will also be available worldwide to play on with early access through the Ultimate Edition beginning September 19, 2025.
