Toei Games, the new gaming publisher from Japanese entertainment giant Toei Company, has announced its first three games, which are Killa, Hino, and Debug Nephemee.
Killa is a visual novel adventure, where players take the role of Valhalla as she searches for the person who killed her mentor. The game takes players on a journey to an island to earn a wish, and they’ll be able to find clues through the memories of suspects as Valhalla searches for the killer.
It’s being developed by Black Tangerine, and there’s actually a free demo available now on Steam. The full game is set to release in 2026.
Hino from UnGloomStudio is a dark fantasy action-adventure title that follows Hino and a skeleton as they look for a safe place while avoiding monsters. These monsters are the embodiment of fear, and Hino will have to both flee and fight them as players are also finding the truth as to why the dark world was created.
Hino has a really unique art style that was illustrated by b a ballpoint pen by the artist Yatara. It’s set to release in 2026.
Debug Nephemee from Nephemee Studios is a pixel-style adventure game where players will hack into creatures known as Nephemee to “debug” them. These Nephemee are glitched and attacking the player, but the goal of the game is to help rather than harm them.
During combat, players will focus on four mini-games at the same time, dodging, blocking, glitching, and healing, as they work to help the Nephemee. By hacking them, players will dive into their memories and learn more about the Nephemee.
There’s no release date for Debug Nephemee yet, but a Steam page for the game is live.
These three titles make up the first published titles from Toei Games, which was just announced a few days ago. More news about these titles will come daily, introducing one game a day starting tomorrow.
