Poznań–Ławica Airport for MSFS Gets New Screenshots

Drzewiecki Design released several new screenshots of Poznań–Ławica Henryk Wieniawski Airport (EPPO) in Poland.
We also get a brief development update.
“This week at EPPO Poznań–Ławica, work on the passenger terminal has progressed with further façade texturing, lighting placement and gate modelling.
All four hangar models for the general aviation apron are now complete. Additional details have also been placed around the air ambulance helipad, while modelling continues on the local fire station buildings.
The surrounding scenery has reached another milestone with the completed shopping centre model. Work is now underway on buildings at the Tor Poznań racing circuit, adding another recognisable landmark to the airport’s surroundings.”
Dassault Falcon 8X for X-Plane 12 Gets New Trailer
Aerobask revealed a new trailer of the upcoming Dassault Falcon 8X business jet for X-Plane 12.
We also heard the initial set of features for when the aircraft is released in a few days.
Official Dassault Aviation license
- Developed under an official license from Dassault Aviation.
- Authorized use of the Falcon name and the Dassault Aviation brand.
Accurate, Dassault-grade flight model
- Raw aerodynamic model by X-Aerodynamics/Aerobask.
- Custom, from-scratch recreation of the real Falcon 8X Primary Flight Control System (PFCS): the actual fly-by-wire laws that fly the aircraft, not X-Plane’s stock flight model or autopilot.
- Digital flight control laws for pitch, roll and yaw, including dedicated takeoff and go-around modes, angle-of-attack.The DFCS, based on that of the Rafale fighter, introduced a custom “path-stable” system that trims automatically to maintain the flight path of the airplane.
- Custom autopilot and autothrottle built on top of the real PFCS guidance loops. X-Plane’s own autopilot is not used.
- Developed and flight-tested with a real-life Dassault Aviation pilot and instructor acting as technical referent and approver throughout development.
FalconEye-style dual HUD
- Conformal synthetic vision over the real world: terrain, obstacles and airport poles with ICAO identifiers.
- Synthetic runway: a pole with the runway number from 80 NM, then the conformal runway below 1,200 ft and 5 NM, with displaced threshold, aiming point marks and approach crossbars.
- 20 NM extended centerline as soon as a landing runway is selected.
- Independent brightness for symbology and synthetic vision on each HUD.
A genuine custom EASy avionics suite
- Complete PDU for the pilot and co-pilot with 5 built-in windows, MDU with all synoptics: FUEL, ELEC, ENG, HYD, ECS, BLD, FCS, FMS setup, Auto Speeds, AFCS, DTLK MGR, D-ATIS, Term WX.
- I-NAV moving map: iNAV displayable in 1/3 window format, 2/3 window (default selection), full window.
- Various layers of database information (terrain, airways, navaids, airports, boundaries, airspace, NAT (North Atlantic Tracks)).
- Integrated Navigraph charts.
- Synthetic Vision, HSI and Vertical Situation Display (VSD), all custom-built to the real EASy symbology.
- Full custom FMS with an ARINC 424-compliant leg and procedure processor:
- SIDs, STARs, approaches ILS/LPV/VGP, holding patterns (all entry types), direct-to, offsets, Cross box (crossing restrictions), What If calculations, Intercept.
- Aircraft Performance Calculations.
- Full SimBrief flight plan integration for importing flight plans.
- VNAV and LNAV guidance following the real EASy logic: climb, altitude capture/hold, geometric path descent, vertical deviation scale, speed scheduling with automatic deceleration anticipation.
- Guidance Panel / Autopilot with all modes of the real-life model.
- Electronic Checklist (ECL) system built directly from the aircraft’s own checklist data: normal, abnormal and emergency procedures, Active Abnormal linking, deferred items, synoptic pop-ups.
- Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning System (EGPWS/TAWS) with a full aural alerting priority engine.
- TCAS II traffic advisories and resolution advisories on X-Plane’s native collision-avoidance data.
- RDR-4000-style weather radar: WX/turbulence/ground-mapping modes, custom-rendered volumetric scan on the HSI and I-NAV displays.
- DCL (Departure Clearance): ATC text messaging (ATC DTLK) over the Hoppie network.
- Oceanic Clearance (OCL).
- EFB (Electronic Flight Bag) Pilot and Copilot with complete Do-Lists and many settings/options: aircraft configuration, network, ground, cabin, etc.
- A lot of detachable 2D options panels.
