Third-party developer OctopusG moved on from the prop-powered I-16 and La-7 to go deeper into the jet age with the Soviet-era MiG-27K Flogger-J2 for DCS World.
We get to see several renderings of the cockpit that will be enhanced by photogrammetry (the same will go for the exterior).
Missions in a variety of maps will be included: DCS: Afghanistan Map, DCS: Iraq Map, and DCS: Syria.
That being said, the aircraft is still in the early stage of development, as you can infer from the images, so it’ll be a while before we fly it.
It’s certainly an interesting choice of aircraft to model, as it did not see widespread export success like the MiG-23 or MiG-29, with only India and Sri Lanka operating he type. That being said, it’s certainly an interesting and important piece of military aviation history.

DCS World is currently available exclusively for PC.
