Before we move on to the news, here’s another flight simulation story that received its own individual coverage.

Boeing 757 for Microsoft Flight Simulator Gets New Images and Details Ahead of Release
The Boeing 757 by Bluebird Simulations is close to its highly anticipated release on October 23, and the developer provided a new video and some news.
Besides the new images showcased in the video, we learn that Bluebird partnered with WingFlex as an official hardware partner. Dedicated gear will be made available starting next year, although the developer will still work with other hardware manufacturers to support compatibility.
The manual will be 350 pages long. Written by an active 757/767 airline pilot, it’ll feature 100 pages dedicated entirely to ACARS.
Over 200 failures are simulated down to the individual light bulbs. 1,500 hours have been spent tuning the flight dynamics.
The developer also confirmed that this will be the last release for MSFS 2020. The 757-300, which will come afterward, will be made exclusively for MSFS 2024 and provided at no additional cost with an update to existing customers.
The developer also expects to keep future development more under wraps, so we shouldn’t expect to see something new too often.
It’s worth mentioning that the images in the video that are marked “Taken with DLSS” actually indicate DLSS5. DLSS5 is not supported by Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 or MSFS 2024, and it alters relevant elements like the lighting via a generative AI pass. As such, these images are not representative of the simulator or the aircraft unless you use DLSS5 yourself. Luckily, we’re also provided screenshots without Nvidia’s controversial tech, although we feel that it’d be preferable if it wasn’t used at all in promotional imagery due to the extent of the alteration on the simulator’s looks.
