Basra International Airport v2 Released for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 and MSFS 2020

Azrsim released v2 of its Basra International Airport (ORMM) in Iraq. It’s available on Simmarket for $30.49.

It includes the following features.

  • Hand-Drawn Textures: All ground tiles are painstakingly hand-drawn to deliver a realistic and high-quality visual experience, capturing the essence of Basra Airport’s unique terrain and layout.
  • Custom Jetways: Experience highly detailed custom jetways that are not only visually accurate but also fully functional for seamless passenger boarding.
  • Animated Features: Watch as animated roll-up doors open and close, while cables and air-conditioning units bring extra life to the airport’s surroundings.
  • Dynamic Ground Vehicles: Enjoy the realistic movements of cobuses and ground service vehicles, each with authentic animations and interiors for added realism.
  • Basic Interior Details: Key interior spaces have been modeled with attention to detail, enhancing the authenticity of the terminal environment.
  • Realistic Lighting and Weather Effects: Built-in support for dynamic lighting and weather changes, ensuring that every time of day offers a unique experience at Basra Airport.

It’s worth mentioning that those who purchased version 1 are eligible for an upgrade price of €12.2. It is quite unique to see a paid update only four months after the original release of an airport, but it is what it is.
