Eurofighter Typhoon, F-16A, and More for Microsoft Flight Simulator Get Development Updates and Screenshots

Microsoft Flight Simulator Eurofighter Typhoon

Indiafoxtecho provided a development update about its Eurofighter Typhoon, the F-16A Falcon in collaboration with Heatblur, its upcoming ships, and more.

You can read it all below. It’s worth mentioning that, as mentioned, the TA-4J Skyhawk model in the gallery is the discarded one and the new one will be better.

Eurofighter Typhoon

This is currently the new project in the most advanced stage: external model is missing only the landing gear, the slat actuators and the pylons and we have first pass textures.
Internal model is almost finished.
Avionics, systems and coding in general is on hold pending the availability of MSFS2024.

F-16A Falcon

After a slow start this project is moving forward at a steady pace. Heatblur Simulations has done an amazing job so far, producing what is most likely the most detailed F-16 model ever done for a recreational simulation.
External model geometry is finished, while first pass textures and cockpit models are in progress.

TA-4J Skyhawk

As we already told you, we have DISCARDED the model we were working on we felt it did not meet the quality requirement we hoped to achieve.
The good news is that we are slowly moving forward with the new model and the first parts/subassemblies have been finally completed… still a long way to go, but looking much better.

Scenery/Ships

Queen Elizabeth

The package is ready…and has been sitting on our hard disk for weeks for two reasons: first, we wanted to check it on MSFS2024 – just to make sure the project was not dead on arrival – and second is that frankly we do not know if this has the potential for decent profit, given the fact that MSFS “no-weapon” rule means that we will have to maintain multiple versions of the ships.

Cavour

The model as it was did not meet our quality standard, so we added more details on the deck. We have also added AV-8B model (courtesy of Sim Skunk Works). The package also includes the Vespucci tallship and a FREMM model.
Still we feel the package is incomplete and needs more work and possibly more ship models.

Distant Future Projects

MB.326 – The project is on hold, it will be handled by the Eurofighter art team after the Typhoon is complete.
E-2 Hawkeye – Project will be re-evaluated in 2025.
Ansaldo SVA / Macchi MC.72 – We still want to complete them… just to do something different from our usual jets.
Space Shuttle – Still a toy project at the moment… maybe MSFS2024 will bring more possibilities for its development.
