Before we move on to the flight simulation news, make sure to check out our new video from the “This Week in Flight Simulation News” series to catch up on any big news you may have missed in the past seven days, and today’s episode of our “Can You Guess this Airport?” video series.

We also have two flight simulation stories that received their own individual coverage:

  • Microsoft Flight Simulator Free World Update 22: US National Parks Announced With Goodyear Blimp
  • Dancing Wings – The Aerobatic Simulator Shows Spectacular Formation Flying

Without further ado, I leave you with today’s flight simulation news.

Westchester County Airport Gets Teaser Video

Fly2High released a new teaser video of Westchester County Airport (KHPN) in New York, United States, for MSFS.

We also know that the airport will come to X-Plane as well. There’s no release date just yet, but it should be soon.

Mobile International Airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator Gets New Screenshots and Dev Update

Drzewiecki Design released new screenshots and a development update of Mobile International Airport (KBFM) in Alabama, United States.

We also get the usual brief development update.

“Development continues on Mobile International Airport (KBFM) for Microsoft Flight Simulator.

Recent work focused on expanding and refining the terminal environment, including updated road markings, completed parking layouts, continued work on the terminal facade, and the new viaduct in front of the terminal. The apron and landside areas also received further ground-line work, sidewalks, curbs, and a more complete road network based on updated stand and area-layout references.

Several important airport structures have also been completed, including the old passenger terminal, cargo terminal, bank building, clinic building, and additional warehouse facilities. The aircraft paint shop interior, new US-style VOR, ILS LOC antenna structure, and an added section of Building 8 were also completed during this stage.

Across the wider scenery, we continued adding the surrounding operational detail: port trailers with A320 fuselage mounts, road and parking lines around both the new and old terminals, green areas, grass, trees, bushes, water reservoirs, sidewalks, curbs, and dense vegetation placement around the terminal zone.”

Kitadaito Airport for MSFS Gets New Screenshots

Gate15 Scenery released new work-in-progress screenshots of Kitadaito Airport (RORK) in Japan.

The developer promises a recreation in “great detail” with the terminal waiting area and other interior spaces recreated to the same level of accuracy we have seen in Minami-Daito Airport.
