Bandai Namco has announced that it is officially bringing its grid-based tactical combat RPG Super Robot Wars Y to Nintendo Switch, PS5, and PC on August 28, 2025.
Super Robot Wars Y takes mechs and pilots from fan-favorite series like Mobile Suit Gundam and Code Geass and pits them against each other in all-out strategy warfare. Players will take control of these units in a variety of modes, including a storyline that weaves together multiple universes from different anime that centers around a calamity to end all calamities.
You’ll be able to choose your units, customize their looks, and upgrade them to fit your tactics, as you’ll face new threats and challenges as Super Robot Wars Y progresses. The latest installment in the series also introduces the Assist Link System, which lets certain characters join the battlefield as the Assist Crew to lend HP and EN, boost attack powers, and many more helpful buffs.

Anyone who pre-orders Super Robot Wars Y will receive a variety of bonus content, which varies depending on the edition you choose, with each one getting two additional missions to recruit Cybaster, VangNex, and GranVang, and a Special Starter Pack bonus mission. Deluxe Edition and Ultimate Edition players will also get the DLC 1 & 2 sets, as well as some other goodies you can see here.
