Today, on the official Sonic the Hedgehog YouTube channel, a detailed live stream went over everything that fans can expect from the franchise all the way through 2025. The roadmap went over everything from collaborations to upcoming games and movies.
Collaberation-wise, you can expect to see the blue blur in Topgolf-themed courses, on motorcycle helmets and legos, and even in his own comic book series that is being published by DC Comics. Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble also joins in on the fun by offering an exclusive Shadow-themed costume and skins. The former requires a DLC purchase or SEGA pass, while the latter is available on the Nintendo eShop.
Sonic x Shadow Generations also got a brand new trailer, which shows off plenty of exciting gameplay footage while setting up the time travelling story of our titular anti-hero chasing Maria through time. To celebrate the upcoming October 25, 2024, release of the game, a sneak peek of the prologue anime Sonic x Shadow Generations: Dark Beginnings – which arrives September 25, 2024 – was also shown.
Last but not least, there was a quick behind the scenes look at Sonic the Hedgehog 3. The film was recently announced, set to follow the introduction of Shadow to the live-action series, which will be played by none other than Keanu Reeves.
