My Field Co. has announced that it’s forming an all-women’s idol esports team for Valorant, which will consist of seven active members of the idol group SKE48.
The team doesn’t have a name yet, though it will be based in the hot spring inn Spaspo Shinyukan. This is already a popular training site for other esports teams, offering a place to both train and relax.

SKE48 itself is based in Nagoya, which is becoming quite the esports hub. Nagoya and Aichi Prefecture as a whole are currently planning to add esports as an official part of the 2026 Asian Games.
There are also plans to continue promoting esports outside of the 2026 Asian Games, a venture that’s already been started with the permanent esports facility in Nagoya. There have also been several government-sponsored events planned to promote esports in the area.
This new team will be part of the Game Changers competition in Valorant, an all-women’s league in various Valorant esports regions. Game Changers is also a part of Riot’s other popular esports title, League of Legends.
More announcements are set for the future, including a press conference on August 19, 2025, at the SKE48 Theater in Nagoya. There, the seven SKE48 members who will be on the Valorant team will be officially announced, along with the team name and a signing ceremony.
Additionally, there will be weekly coverage of the team and behind-the-scenes looks at their lives on YouTube. The team will also host local events and collaborations, targeted at Gen Z fans, along with student tournaments.
So far, two of the members have been confirmed and have released statements about the team’s formation. First is Miyo Nomura:
“I’m a beginner at VALORANT, but I want to keep practicing and get stronger. I want to see new things in the world of e-sports!”
The second is Yua Kawamura:
“I’ve always loved games! I want to prove that women can also compete seriously!”
