Skate. Release Date & Early Access Roadmap Announced

Today, Full Circle and EA finally revealed that the next push in its beloved skateboarding franchise, skate., would be coming to early access on September 16, 2025. The live service title will be available for free on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (EA App, Epic Games Store, and Steam).

Since it is following a live service, early access model, Full Circle has already detailed what the upcoming roadmap for the rest of 2025 will be, including what fans can expect when the skate simulator releases this coming month. It will be fully free-to-play from launch in a multiplayer format, and will feature full cross-play and cross-progression across all platforms.

The setting of San Vansterdam is made up of four neighborhoods, each with its own unique flair that will continue to evolve as the early access process continues. The Flick-it system also makes its return, rebuilt using the Frostbite system and powered by new off-board mechanics like climbing, scaling and jumping, making skate. even more accessible and open than ever before.

  • Seasonal Content: Regular updates will bring fresh content and seasonal events. Season 1 throws it back to skateboarding’s golden era, the 90s, featuring new skateable areas, challenges, cosmetics, music tracks and more.
    • Season 2 and 3 will also include all of that and more with fan-requested features like party voice chat, replay editor improvements and new tricks like impossibles and darkslides.
  • Seasonal Themed Events: Kick-off Season 1 with themed events like Skate-o-Ween and the 7-Ply Maple Harvest.
  • All-New skate.Pass: Featuring both free and premium tracks loaded with rewards and Seasonal Challenges to give players new and exciting things to do.

To help beginners and veteran players who need a reintroduction to the series, the Skaterpedia system is being introduced to guide anyone who needs help mastering tricks, learning styles, and exploring all the game’s gameplay features.
