Today, KOF and SNK unveiled the first look at Joe Higashi, the next DLC character in its hit fighting title, Fatal Fury: City of Wolves.
Best known for his steel-shattering kicks, Muay Thai champion Joe Higashi appears in Fatal Fury: City of Wolves Season Pass 1 as a free character for all players who purchased the game. No other kickboxer can lay a finger, elbow, or knee on Joe Higashi, so the champ winds up tackling a different beast: the silver screen!
His biopic documentary, The Legend of Joe (directed by none other than Cheng Sinzan), is already shooting around South Town, and Joe even envisions a bit part for star pupil Preecha, whose recent tournament triumphs have done her master proud. Players knew he was coming to the title at some point this year, as the full Season Pass 1 was revealed back in February. Other characters that were included in the pass are Street Fighter’s Ken and Chun-Li, Joe Highasi, and Mr. Big. Ken, so players have more characters to try their luck against him later on this year.
Of course, Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves also had several interesting guest stars, including Cristiano Ronaldo and DJ Salvatore Ganacci. It is currently available on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Xbox Series X|S, and Joe Higashi will arrive as the first DLC character and as part of Season Pass 1 in Fall 2025.
