Today, Konami and Bloober Team unveiled a new story trailer for the highly anticipated remake of the cult classic horror game, Silent Hill 2. In the video, we see protagonist James returning to the town where he once made so many memories in order to investigate a letter from his late wife.
You can see all sorts of familiar characters and locations in the trailer, including everyone’s least favorite mentally disturbed antagonist, Eddie Dombrowski. He made his mark in the original as a severely bullied young man who is set to kill the next person that he thinks is laughing at him.
You check out the full trailer for yourself below, which is set to Akira Yamaha’s “Promise.” Other prominent people like Mary also make eerie appearances, as the updated graphics and ray tracing show off each creepy crease hiding behind every character we meet in Silent Hill 2.
Players will also now be able to access buildings and locations that were previously locked or barred, meaning there will be a lot of new places to explore. Gameplay has also gotten some new updates, as you can not only time your dodges but also have much more improved aim, similar to how the recent Resident Evil remakes moved away from the less modern tank controls.
Silent Hill 2 will be available on October 8, 2024 this year for PS5 and PC, just in time for spooky season. For more information on the game, be sure to check back to Simulation Daily for updates.
