The update brings the first linear campaign titled Calculus of Conflict, it’s a five-mission campaign featuring conflict between NATO and Warsaw Pact, covering both Atlantic and Pacific theaters.

It comes with story events, and you can advance to the next mission by winning the previous one.

It’s worth mentioning that the game will have a dynamic campaign down the line, but it’s still in early access, and that feature is still pretty far off.

We also get live telemetry for the Tacview, and new missions, on top of reworked ones, as follows.

New missions:

  • NATO / The High North 1968
  • NATO / Caron at Grenada 1983
  • Other / Operation Trident 1971 (intended as an easy intro mission for new players)

Reworked missions:

  • Volga Exercise
  • Hunters or Hunted?
  • Battle of Latakia and Battle of Baltim (Yom Kippur War)
  • Operation Morvarid 1980 (Iran-Iraq War)
  • Encounter Off Diu 1971 (Indo-Pakistani War of 1971)

If you want to enjoy distinguishing between submarines and biologics, the game also received 3 different whales.

The UI has also undergone the first phase of changes in favor of quality-of-life, and more upgrades will come with further patches.

If you’d like to read more details, the full patch notes are available on Steam.

Sea Power: Naval Combat in the Missile Age is currently available for PC. Like most early access games, it’s updated quite often with new content, features, and fixes.

If you’d like to know what to expect from its evolution toward full release, Triassic Games recently revealed the roadmap for early access.
