Last month, Capcom ran an open beta test for the next installment of their beloved fantastic action RPG, Monster Hunter Wilds, which is set to launch for Windows PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S on February 28, 2025. Today, the developers released a pre-launch community update for the game, discussing feedback they were given from the event and other things they’ll be doing in order to get ready for release in a couple of months.

The full video, which you can see a few paragraphs down, details everything from changes that are being made to weapons, skills, and a lot more. The primary concern they address revolves around performance issues, especially regarding how Monster Hunter Wilds runs on most PCs.

During the beta, players voiced concerns that their rigs wouldn’t be powerful enough to run Monster Hunter Wilds, citing dropped frames, poor graphics, and overall spotty performances when it game to stability. In response, Capcom stated they’re toying with the idea of releasing a benchmark tool to help fans out. Plans for a lower graphics setting were also teased, but nothing has been confirmed at this time.

The video ends with Capcom Community Manage Jonno inquiring as to whether there would be another beta test that fans can get their hands on before launch. Game Director Yuka Tokuda said they are considering bringing back the test but that it would mostly be for players who missed it the first time around and that none of the updates and changes that have been discussed today would likely be included.

Monster Hunter Wilds is available now for pre-order, starting at $69.99.
