The developers of the Boeing 737 MAX at iFly have opened the floodgates of purchases of their brand-new aircraft for Microsoft Flight Simulator, but there is a relevant caveat.

The early availability of the aircraft is for testing sales through the iFly Manager client (which can be downloaded on the Flight One Software site) and the purchase will grant you the pre-release versions that influencers have been showcasing for a few days.

Basically, you’re buying into a sort of (likely short, from what we heard yesterday) early access that may feature bugs and issues, and you’ll receive the full-release version when it’s ready.

The price is $69.95 and those who have already purchased the aircraft for Lockheed Martin Prepar3D are entitled to a 40% discount.

This soft release has been announced only on Flight One Software’s discord server and it isn’t widely publicized due to its very nature. Since purchasing itself is being tested, you may also encounter problems while doing so.

It’s also worth mentioning that not all liveries will be available immediately as a number are being updated to the latest version of the model. Incidentally, the screenshot above was provided by moderator Scotsgod in the publisher’s Discord Server.

Incidentally, we already know that all those who purchase the aircraft or at release will receive a free upgrade to Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, albeit it isn’t guaranteed that this will go on forever should the two simulators take too divergent development paths.

Microsoft Flight Simulator is currently available for PC and Xbox Series X|S.
