Today, Eagle Dynamics revealed its traditional trailer showing the medium-term vision for DCS World, aptly titled “2026 and Beyond.”

The biggest reveal of the trailer was kept for last, and it’s a Rafale officially licensed by Dassault Aviation (which isn’t too surprising since the manufacturer is doing the same for Microsoft Flight Simulator). It’ll be made by Heatblur Simulations, one of the most acclaimed developers for DCS World.

Speaking of Heatblur, we also get to see the F-14B(U) Tomcat, which is also in development at the studio.

The trailer also features the much-anticipated dynamic campaign, the C-17, the Eurofighter Typhoon, the F-104 Starfighter, the Lavochkin La-7, and plenty more World War 2 assets, and more.

Of course, we should keep in mind that the “and beyond” part of the title is a reminder that none of this is promised for 2026.

For Instance, the F-15C and F-35 Lighting II were announced with last year’s trailer, but they’re nowhere to be found this year following a “slight delay.”

That said, you can check out the trailer below and dream of the future.

If you’re unfamiliar with DCS World, it’s a free-to-play flight simulator focusing on military aviation from World War 2 to the present day. It’s available exclusively for PC.

While the sim is free-to-play, it pretty much requires paid modules be fully enjoyed, including aircraft, campaigns, and maps. That being said, Eagle Dynamics has a robust free trial program for said modules.

Recently, the MiG-29A Fulcrum has also been released in early access, followed by the C-130J Hercules, while a new map for the Balkans has been announced.
