With its photogrammetry applied to natural wonders, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 features a gorgeous portrayal of the famous Grand Canyon in Arizona, United States.
Here at Simulation Daily, we attended a preview event hosted by Microsoft just a few miles from the Grand Canyon itself, and we got our hands on a pre-release build of MSFS 2024.
Of course, the temptation to fly low and fast in the Grand Canyon itself was too strong to resist, and what better bird for the task than the brand-new Fairchild Republic A-10 Thunderbolt II attack aircraft?
Even better, we were allowed to record the deed, and you can watch it below from our YouTube channel. If you enjoy it, please like and subscribe. That always helps. If you can leave a comment, that’d be great as well.
As you can see, the rendering of the Grand Canyon is absolutely gorgeous. The aircraft felt very much alive on the stick, battered by the strong wind and turbulence you’d expect when surrounded by massive cliffs.
Of course, you should stay tuned on Simulation Daily, because there is going to be a lot more Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 coverage here over the next few days, Including another interview, plenty of footage of other areas of the simulator, and more.
Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 will release for PC and Xbox Series X|S on November 19, 2024.
If you’d like to read more, you can enjoy our interview with Head of Microsoft Flight Simulator Jorg Neumann and Asobo CEO Sebastian Wloch, and our hands-on preview with plenty of interesting details about the simulator for your perusal.
Full disclosure: Simulation Daily was invited to a Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 preview event in Grand Canyon Village, Arizona. Microsoft provided travel and accommodation.
