Today Blackbird Simulations released a new video focusing on the upcoming Lockheed C-130 Hercules for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, and more precisely on one of its most relevant systems.
The video provides insight on the aircraft flight management system and the CNI-MU (which stands for Communication, Navigation, Identification-Management Unit), which is basically the part of the avionics similar to an Airbus A320’s MCDU or Boeing 737’s CDU.
Of course, it’s a very important part of the in-depth simulation of an aircraft with advanced navigation capabilities, and today we take a look at the work that has gone into reproducing it and its functionality.
You can watch it below.
During a previous livestream, we learned that the developer aims to release this complex military cargo aircraft for the new Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, albeit a release date has not been announced (the simulator comes for PC and Xbox Series X on November 19, 2024. We also don’t yet know if the C-130 will work on Xbox).
The good folks at Blackbird Simulations have been working on it for a long time, and the result is certainly very visible in today’s video, which also provides a glimpse at the rest of the flight deck.
