NetEase Games has released the Marvel Rivals character trailer for Jean Grey (also known as Phoenix), one of the upcoming characters in Season 3: The Abyss Awakens, showing off her abilities and gameplay as more information about the upcoming season comes to light.
Jean Grey’s character trailer introduces players to the new Duelist’s moves. This isn’t a full breakdown of the specifics of her abilities, but it is an introduction to what she can do.
As a Duelist, she’s focused on dishing out damage, though she has some movement abilities that let her reposition. This is good for finding new angles to attack and also great for situations where she may need to escape. One of her abilities gives her a burst of damage, which also looks like it’s AoE.
Her ultimate launches her into the sky as she combines with Phoenix, where she can control a massive fireball to attack enemies on the ground. This also eliminates any enemy summons. In the trailer, we see this used with Scarlet Witch’s ultimate as a form of crowd control to take out the enemy team.
