Two of the biggest fighting games are coming together again as the epic crossover between Fatal Fury and Street Fighter continues. This time, Street Fighter’s Ken and Chun-Li will be coming to Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves next year.
SNK released a teaser trailer for the crossover from Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves’ point of view during the SNK Special Program as part of Tokyo Games Show 2024. The teaser shows iconic characters Terry Bogard and Mai Shiranui going against Chun-Li and Ken. The teaser is just that – SNK hasn’t shown gameplay quite yet.
Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves isn’t out yet, but the release date for these characters is. Ken will be coming in Summer 2025, while Chun-Li will be coming in Winter 2025. If the announcement seems a bit early, it’s partly due to the fact that things in the industry tend to leak frequently.
The four of these characters are coming to both games. Capcom recently added Terry to the Street Fighter 6 lineup as a DLC character. Mai will be coming in Winter 2025, mirroring Chun-Li’s release in Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves.
This isn’t the first time the characters will be squaring off against each other. As major characters in both franchises, they’ve all popped up in the SNK vs. Capcom games.
Ken and Chun-Li will join the ranks of 17 Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves characters like Rock Howard, Billy Kane, and and Kevin Rian. Both characters are part of Season Pass One, along with three unannounced characters. These will be released in Summer 2025, Fall 2025, and Early 2026.
Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves Producer Yasuyuki Oda is excited about the crossover:
“For decades, SNK has had deep respect for Capcom, in both genuine admiration and a bit of friendly rivalry. It’s an honor to bring the universes of FATAL FURY and Street Fighter together once again. This collaboration is a reflection of that bond, and we hope players share our excitement.”
