Hubert, an upcoming adventure game about a working shepherd dog protecting his flock of sheep, now has a confirmed release window. Brocap Studio announced today that players can step into the paws of Hubert this October.
Along with the release window announcement, Brocap Studio shared a brand new story trailer for the game. The trailer begins with a woman named Lily pulling the titular dog Hubert out of a river during a storm, apparently saving his life.
Then, we see Hubert and Lily driving together in a van, and we hear the dog’s inner voice for the very first time as they ride along. The trailer goes on to show various snippets of gameplay and cutscenes, including sheep herding on the farm and a terrifying encounter with a pack of wolves.
Hubert’s story takes him beyond the farm to explore uncharted wilderness in the north. The dog senses there is something mysterious out there that he just can’t explain. The game is described as a tale of friendship and bravery, combining atmospheric storytelling with herding gameplay. It seems apparent that something more sinister is waiting for the player beyond the cozy sheep herding.

In addition to releasing on PC, it was recently announced that Hubert will also release on PlayStation 5. You can wishlist the game on the PlayStation Store or on Steam, and a free demo is available to play now on Steam.
