The Fortnite Global Championship 2025 (formerly the FNCS Global Championship) is headed to France later this year.
The event will be held at the LDLC Arena in Lyon-Décines, France, from September 6 to September 7. Fans will be able to buy tickets, though information about doing so will be released on February 13/14. The event will also be broadcast live on various streaming platforms.
Unlike past Fornite Global Championships, 2025 will be trios instead of duos. There will be 33 trios from Asia, Brazil, Europe, the Middle East, North America, and Oceania. The number of trios is broken down as follows:
- Europe: 11 trios
- NA Central: 7 trios
- NA West: 3 trios
- Brazil: 3 trios
- Asia: 3 trios
- Middle East: 3 trios
- Oceania: 3 trios
Past Fortnite Global Championships have been held in Denmark and the United States. Not only is this the first time the championship has been to France, it’s the first time it’ll be trios. This will inevitably add a new aspect to the competition, as trio strategy can be much more unpredictable and varied compared to duos.
Trios from each Major can earn a spot at the Fortnite Global Championship 2025. There are three Majors leading up to the Championship, and trios from each Major in each region can qualify.
The teams will be fighting for a $2 million prize pool.
Fortnite has had an exciting start to 2025, and the news for the Fortnite Global Championship 2025 just adds to it. Between Godzilla’s appearance, the start of the iconic Fortnite OG Chapter One Season Two, and Hatsune Miku taking over, 2025 is starting off on the right foot.
