Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion Reveals Big Mecha and Fusion Skills in Action

Today, Marvelous Entertainment revealed a new look at the upcoming mecha action game Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion.

The first screenshots showcase the Heavy Armor, which is basically a big, bad mecha that you can use on the battlefield for a limited time. It’s a bit of a return to the original game, which focuses on mecha piloting, while the second focuses more on the smaller Arsenal suit.

You can summon it when the call gauge is full, and it can easily turn the tide of battle with powerful attacks and weapons. It’s basically your “prepare for Titanfall” moment.

It can also be customized with colors and decals.

The second video focuses on the Fusion Skills. You can fuse Immortal Factors that you obtain from enemies into your body to acquire powerful abilities.

Factors are categorized into Might, Shell, and Skeleton, and the type determines the kind of skill that they’ll unlock.

The more Immortal Factors you fuse into your body, the more skills you’ll acquire, but you’ll also gradually become less human.

You can restore your human form for a fee, but you’ll also lose the skills you have acquired. Basically, you need to choose whether you want to preserve your humanity or become more powerful.

Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion will be released on September 5 for PC via Steam, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2.

Interestingly, the original Daemon X Machina was initially released in 2019 as a Nintendo Switch exclusive, and then launched on PC only a few months later. Quite obviously, Marvelous has been learning some lessons about the fact that third-party exclusivity isn’t much of a smart move anymore.
