Pearl Abyss isn’t holding anything back ahead of its big Gamescom demo debut this week, as it just unveiled the first look at the White Horn boss battle for its highly anticipated open-world action-adventure game Crimson Desert. You can take a look at the video for yourself at the bottom of the page.

In the trailer, we get to see what it is like to fight one of the most bone-chilling bosses in Crimson Desert. Known to mountain-goers as the White Horn, this fearsome beast looks like a cross between a yeti, a monkey, and a giant elk, featuring sharp fangs and antlers that’ll tear you into a hundred different pieces if you aren’t careful.

If you haven’t heard of Crimson Desert before, the game puts players in the shoes of a lone mercenary as he navigates both the stunning beauty and cutthroat dangers of Pywel, the war-torn continent where history will be written in blood. While an exact release date hasn’t been revealed yet, a window of Q2 2025 has been stated.

Anyone who is attending Gamescom can get their hands on the demo by stopping by the booth between the following times:

  • August 21, 2024 (Wed) 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM (CEST)
  • August 22, 2024 (Thurs) 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM (CEST)
  • August 23, 2024 (Fri) 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM (CEST)
  • August 24, 2024 (Sat) 9:00 AM – 8:00 PM (CEST)
  • August 25, 2024 (Sun) 9:00 AM – 8:00 PM (CEST)

It has also been revealed that Crimson Desert will only be available for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, so previous-gen consoles are out of luck. For more news on the game and action games in development, check out the rest of Simulation Daily.
