The trailer takes players 100 years into the past, as the player’s Revenant Hunter protagonist joins Josée Anjou on a mission to save the Sunken City and uncover the truth behind its crisis, while also showcasing the Sunken Pylon, a vast dungeon that holds the key to purifying the Sunken City. Combat centers around seven distinct weapon types (Twin Blades, Rune Blade, One-handed/Two-handed Swords, Bayonet, Halberd, Hammer) and Revenant’s unique ability known as Restorative Offering.

Restorative Offering lets players restore their fallen Revenant Hunter with recovered health, though a cooldown leaves them temporarily incapacitated and unable to assist in battle. Alongside plenty of gameplay, Bandai Namco also showed off a good look at the deep character creator, which you can see below.

The Code Vein 2 character creator demo will be available starting on January 22, 2026, offering 64 save slots that transfer directly into the final game. The feature will let players customize their character’s body type, hairstyle, facial expressions, accessories, makeup, and more. Players can also visit the hot spring at the MagMell Institute to view their character in different lighting environments and use Photo Mode to capture and save their creations.

So far, plenty of characters and story elements have been announced for the game, including companions like Noah G. MagMell, Josée Anjou, and Valentin Voda.

Code Vein 2 is launching on January 30, 2026, and is available now for pre-orders on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam). For more information, be sure to check back to Simulation Daily for updates on this, other upcoming RPGs, and plenty more Bandai Namco properties.
