Another tournament has ended at the Esports World Cup 2025, with OpTic Gaming crowned champions for the popular FPS Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.
The team, headquartered in Frisco, Texas, defeated Vancouver Source with a dominating score of 4-0, crowning a season that started really badly and ended up with them at the top of the Esports World Cup.
Kovistar Koi, who lost in the semifinal against Vancouver Source, managed to win third place by defeating Team Hereitics in the decider match.
OpTic won a heavy $600,000 prize pool, while Vancouver Surge won $320,000 and Koi brings home $200,000.
This victory brings OpTic to 6th place (together with Team Heretics
Anthony “Shotzzy” Cuevas-Castro from OpTic was also crowned tournament MWP, certainly enriching his legacy as the first-ever multi-FPS World Champion.

The Esports World Cup is hosted in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and today’s COD finals closed the third week.
Several tournaments have already crowned their champions, and the competition is scheduled to continue for several more weeks until August 24.
Earlier during the event, Team Redline won the Rennsport sim racing championship, Goichi brought home the trophy for Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, Team Heretics won the Valorant tournament, VK Gaming won in Apex Legends, Team Spirit won in Dota 2, Team Vitality won Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, Evos Esports won Free Fire, Gen.G won League of Legends, Serral won Starcraft 2, and All Gamers for Honor of Kings.
