Saber Interactive and stillalive Games have released the first developer diary for Bus Bound, diving into the details of the simulator like the city inspirations, immersion features, and plenty more.
This is the first developer diary for Bus Bound, the upcoming bus driving simulator from the creators of Bus Simulator 21. The video explains some of the development choices, like the idea of passengers judging the driver and driving a sense of responsibility, and why the city changes over time.
It also revealed that the city in Bus Bound is inspired by cities in the Appalachia region in the United States, like Nashville.
Another detail that the Bus Bound developer diary dives into is the idea of realistic yet interesting traffic. Instead of being perfectly lined-up rows of cars that players drive with and around, there will be staggered cars within lanes and variations in vehicle speeds.
Fans can watch the first-ever Bus Bound developer diary below and hear the inspirations and explanations from the developers themselves:
Bus Bound is set to release on April 30, 2026, on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. It’s currently available to pre-order, along with a Deluxe Edition.
