Set five years after the events of a nuclear disaster, Atomfall places players in the shoes of an unnamed survivor living in Northern England. When a worker in a hazmat suit stumbles into your room, the mystery of who you are and what happened at the Windscale atom plant begins.

The game takes place in a quarantine zone that showcases the open moors, rugged hills, dense woodlands, and the picture-perfect English village of Wyndham. As with most post-apocalyptic settings, there’s plenty of dangers to navigate in this once-quaint English town.

Whether it is mutated wildlife, crazy cultists, or gangs of outlaws, you’ll need to do your best to survive the wasteland by fighting with various weapons – that can be found or crafted – and scavenging for helpful resources. Not everyone is out to get you in Atomfall, as the game features plenty of quirky and eccentric characters that you will meet on your journey.

With every new character you meet, the mystery surrounding the events of the main story starts to become more clear as secrets begin to unravel.

Atomfall is set to release on March 27, 2025, for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, and PC (Steam & Epic Games Store). It will also be a day one Game Pass release for both Xbox and PC, though the story expansion is sold separately.
