New content for the American Truck Simulator Forest Machinery DLC is coming today to celebrate the release of the Arkansas DLC, bringing a new vehicle and fun cabin content.
The Forest Machinery DLC update adds the Forestry Skidder, a machine that’s used in logging to move trees. This helps them get from point A to point B in order to be processed or loaded. The Forestry Skidder uses a grapple claw or a cable system to draw large logs across the ground.
This streamlines the lumbering process, especially in areas that have rough terrain. It’s an essential piece of equipment for large projects in wild areas.
Plus, owners of the Forest Machinery DLC get new cabin items from OWL, one of the in-game brands. It includes protective ear muffs, a road sign hanging item that reads “Tree Work Ahead,” and a mug.
Players that don’t have the Forest Machinery or Arkansas DLC can get them together in the Arkan-saw Bundle for cheaper than buying them individually.
The release timing is 19:10pm CEST, 10:10am PDT, 12:10pm CDT, 6:10pm BST, or 9:10pm GST, depending on where you live.
The Arkansas DLC and the updated American Truck Simulator Forest Machinery DLC are perfect for each other. Arkansas relies on the timber industry more than almost any other state in the United States. Pairing them together just makes sense.
The new content, which comes with the Arkansas DLC, comes to the simulator today. There’s also an in-game event where players can deliver to different cities in Arkansas to unlock a free paint job. Plus, there’s a community challenge that unlocks a Steam reward.
Players can tune into the release live stream today, September 16, at 10am EST/4pm CEST on the official Twitch and YouTube channels.
