Last Summer, Aloft took to the skies and soared into users’ wishlists thanks to a successful debut demo as a part of Steam Next Fest. Today, Astrolabe Interactive Inc.’s highly anticipated co-op survival title has officially entered early access, available on PC (Steam) for $24.99.

Aloft lets you and up to seven friends restore the ecosystems of a shattered world, crafting floating islands and harnessing the wind by using a wide variety of unique crafting and exploration gameplay elements.

Float from island to island using your trusty glider, cook food for buffs, and care for animals on your island, and you’ll be one step closer to restoring balance. You can check out the early access launch trailer that shows off some of those features down below:

Astrolabe Interactive Inc. also provided a timeline of updates and improvements they plan to add to Aloft in 2025, detailing what fans can expect from the early access roadmap for the full year. Initial updates will focus on fine-tuning the game, ranging from general quality-of-life updates to major bug fixes.

Eventually, the game will get new features, like life trees, a compass, and animal reproduction, while also adding building and decoration elements to further improve customization and survival elements of Aloft. The developers will monitor user feedback to improve existing features and iron out any frustrating or consistent bugs players may encounter.

The community will have a big impact on Aloft, as players can share their creations directly on the Steam Workshop for others to enjoy. You can even bring along your entire skyship when joining a friend’s game, creating a whole moving village of eight skyships in co-op.

At the moment, Aloft is only available on PC. There is no word on if a console port is in the plans.
