Today Hooded Horse and Eremite Games revealed brand new DLC is coming to their popular dark fantasy roguelike city-building game Against the Storm. Titled The Keepers of Stone, the expansion will be the first addition to the series and is set to launch September 26, 2024 alongside the free 1.4 update.
Alongside an army of new content, Against the Storm: The Keepers of Stone introduces highly anticipated new species. The Frogs join the effort to push back against the coming storms, using their talent with stone masonry and water to make your army even more powerful.
A new biome is also coming with The Keepers of Stone, featuring a group of new buildings, orders, risks, and opportunities for players to use as Viceroy.
The 1.4 update mentioned above is also set to introduce a bunch of quality-of-life improvements alongside the DLC, adding the following:
- New resources
- Fishing system
- Increased level cap
- New buildings
- Dozens of balance changes, bug fixes, and tweaks
Since it launched in December 2023, Against the Storm has sold over a million copies while also maintaining a 95 percent Overwhelmingly Positive rating on Steam. It is currently available for $29.99 on PC (Steam, GOG, and Epic Games Store).
