Cessna Citation X for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 and 2020 Gets New Screenshots and Details

FlightFX provided another development update about its upcoming Cessna 750 Citation X on its Discord Server. The developers have worked on significantly refreshing both the interior and the exterior of the aircraft.

Here’s what was done:

  • Completely retextured interior cabin
  • Added detailed texture mapping to boost interior realism
  • Improved exterior geometry of the wing and engine root areas
  • Reworked the geometry of the leading-edge slats
  • Applied new detail maps to the exterior for enhanced surface definition and highly detailed close ups
  • Introduced several new livery schemes
  • Closed off exterior gaps in the fuselage and cabin for a cleaner model
  • Refined wing and flap modeling
  • Corrected multiple baking and texturing issues both inside and outside the aircraft
  • Revamped exterior lighting fixtures
  • Continued updates and improvements to the EFB
  • Full rework of all rivets and screws
  • Reworked engine components
  • Resurfaced and improved various fuselage components
  • Added options for LCD and CRT screens with unique looks

Unfortunately, we learn that the aircraft won’t be compatible with Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024’s Career Mode at launch.

That being said, it’ll be released at the same time on both MSFS 2024 and MSFS 2020, and a single purchase will provide the aircraft for both simulators.

The developer promised that the next update we get will be a launch announcement.
