Today, miHoYo revealed that its hit free-to-play action RPG Zenless Zone Zero is getting its first official update of the new year, as Version 1.5 is officially set to launch later this month, on January 22.
As a means of celebrating the launch, Zenless Zone Zero 1.5 will present an “Astra-nomical” concert that features brand-new gameplay and content. Eridu’s most well-known celebrity, Astra Yao, will be the star of the show, performing at Starloop, the city’s most iconic landmark.
Astra will also be accompanied by Evelyn, an S-level Fire Attack whose attacks generate Burning Tether Point, and the singer’s trusty guardian. A new S-Rank Bangboo, Snap, is also being added in, while Ellen, an S-Rank Ice Attack Agent, and Qingyi, an S-Rank Electric Stun Agent, are planning their return to Version 1.5 banners.
Alongside these characters, the update also introduces Endless Tower: The Last Stand, Perpetrator Battle, and Mach 25. You can see a little preview of each in the trailers and screenshots below:
Endless Tower: The Last Stand will let players test their skills by tasking them with climbing 10 floors, each with its own unique combat effects. Perpetrator Battle also provides you with an opportunity to face down formidable foes while using specific Agents, exclusive Gear, and Resonia to earn your victory.
Mach 25 is a brand-new parkour arcade game where players can race with various vehicles, and can be found by visiting the Godfinger. Bizarre Brigade is also getting a 2-player PvE mode and introducing seven new Dream Seekers, including Wise, Belle, and members of Cunning Hares.
The update isn’t just all battle and arcade-related, as players will be able to dress up Agents, including Astra, Ellen, and Nicole, in their new outfits. Participating in the Bangboo pageant “Ridu’s Got Boo” during “The Day of Brilliant Wishes” will help not only help Eous secure the championship but it will also unlock exclusive rewards, like Nicole’s new outfit.
Zenless Zone Zero is available now for PS5, PC, iOS, and Android.
