During the celebrations of MWC 2026 in Barcelona, Spain, Xiaomi revealed the Xiaomi Vision Gran Turismo that will come to Gran Turismo 7.
The Vision GT was teased back in June 2025 alongside the reveal of the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra EV, but it wasn’t directly showcased. Today, we get to see what it looks like.
According to the press release, Xiaomo was invited to create a Vision GT car directly by producer Kazunori Yamauchi.
Tianyuan Li, Design Head of Xiaomi EV, released a statement taking the chance to toot his own horn.
“The invitation itself was a recognition of what Xiaomi has achieved. It allowed our teams in Munich, Beijing, and Shanghai to collaborate, to push boundaries, and to envision what a future hypercar could look like when designed without limits.”
We hear that the car is designed to balance “extreme low drag for straight-line speed” and “maximum downforce to conquer corners,” pursuing aerodynamic efficiency and resulting in the core concept summarized as “sculpted by the wind.”
At the moment, a release date in Gran Turismo 7 has not been announced, and it will be shared with a future announcement.
You can check it out in the trailer below.
If you’re unfamiliar with the Vision GT concept, it has always been a very interesting one in the world of Sim Racing.
It involves a variety of prestigious (some more, some less, and some “definitely less,” I suppose) car manufacturers designing concept cars directly for the simulator, mating real-world design techniques and engineering with virtual application.
Gran Turismo 7 is currently available for PS5 and PS4. Polyphony Digital has been updating it regularly since its launch in March 2022.
In December, we saw the release of the Spec III update alongside the Power Pack DLC.
The finals of the Gran Turismo World Series 2025 have recently been hosted, seeing the victory of Team Porsche for the Manufacturers Cup and Jose Serrano for the Nations Cup.
