Laminar Research has made update 12.4.1 available for its flight simulator X-Plane 12, and it comes with some interesting improvements despite being a decimal patch.
The update, which has been in beta for less than a month, implements new features for the Airbus A330, including a functional and visible Ram Air Turbine, improved TCAS, and more, on top of a few relevant bug fixes.
More aircraft received changes, including the Beechcraft King Air C90B, Boeing 737-800, Cessna 172 Skyhawk, Cessna Citation X, and Cirrus Vision SF50.
The simulator also received a pass of CPU optimizations, specifically to CPU rendering, but users who are limited by their GPU are unlikely to see visible effects on performance.
New scenery assets for creators have been added, including new gravel textures, hangar variants, and European-style trucks to improve immersion.
AI aircraft also received improvements, alongside ATC, weather, connectivity, and the X1000 avionics.
Last, but not least, stability has been improved, especially for users with AMD graphics cards.
You can find the full update notes on the official site, including detailed explanations for each of the changes made to the simulator.
X-Plane 12 is currently available for PC (including Mac and Linux).
