With the “Ninth Wave” update for War Thunder coming tomorrow, Gaijin Entertainment pulled out the big guns, or more precisely, the big missiles.
Today, the developer released a video showcasing new missiles that will be implemented with the update.
A selection of rank 9 fighters will get new ARH missiles, the AIM-120D and the PL-12A, including a satellite-aided guidance feature.
The J-15T will receive the YJ-83K anti-ship missiles and the KD-88 ground-targeting missiles.
Some American aircraft will get the AGM-84 cruise missiles.
Air defense systems will also get their own new weapons. You can see them all in action in the video below.
War Thunder is a rather popular free-to-play (with optional microtransactions) online simulator-lite with plenty of aircraft and vehicles to enjoy in ground, air, sea, and mixed battles. You can play it on PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One.
