VRChat Version 2026.1.3 is here, bringing new loading screens, updates to impostors, changes to the Accessories beta, and other fixes.
To start with, users can now change their loading screens. They will be available in Inventory, and players can check out the April Shop Update for something special. VRC+ Subscribers will get a special loading screen later this month.
To get the special loading screen, players will need an active subscription. However, it won’t be a limited-time reward, so those who get a subscription in the future can still access it.
Additionally, there have been a few updates to impostors. Now, all impostors generated on PC (including those generated before the update) will use Bicupic filtering to stop any “blocky” outlines.
Other visual bugs have been eliminated thanks to several changes on the backend. For example, there would sometimes be floating pixels with impostors — those are now fixed. A full list of the technical changes can be found in the official patch notes here.
Also, for those looking for the Accessories, they’ve been moved to their own Beta branch.
