Blue Protocol Is Shutting Down
Bandai Namco announced today that its anime-style MMORPG Blue Protocol will be shutting down in Japan on January 18, 2025. As a consequence, the upcoming Western launch planned by Amazon Games for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S has also been canceled.
The game, which launched in Japan in 2023, sported beautiful anime-style graphics, fast action combat, and extensive character customization. Unfortunately, it had a shaky launch in Japan, with following issues retaining players.
Bandai Namco and Amazon Games mentioned they were closely collaborating in tweaking the game to prepare it for fruition by a global audience, but unfortunately, we’ll never get to play it.
New Metaphor: ReFantazio Gameplay Released
The Asian arm of Sega released an extensive video of the upcoming JRPG by Atlus Metaphor: ReFantazio.
Incidentally, the game is played by Jun Fukuyama, the voice actor who plays the hero in Persona 5. The game releases on October 11, 2024, for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
Paradox Showcases the Art and Music of Crusader Kings III’s Next Expansion
Today Paradox Interactive released a new video dedicated to the next DLC coming to Crusader Kings 3, titled “Roads to Power.”
The video showcases the beautiful artwork and music that will appear in the expansion when it launches.
Roads to Power launches on PC on September 24, 2024. The game itself is also available on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, but expansions come to consoles at a much later time.
No Case Should Remain Unsolved Coming to Nintendo Switch
Playism announced that the text adventure No Case Should Remain Unsolved by Korean developer Somi will be released on Nintendo Switch on September 19.
PC gamers may already be familiar with this game, as it was released earlier this year on Steam, where it enjoys “overwhelmingly positive” reviews.
