SimWorks Studios announced the release date of its next aircraft for Microsoft Flight Simulator, and it’s one of Van’s Aircraft popular kit aircraft, the RV-8.
The package, included the traditional RV-8 taildragger and the RV-8A variant equipped with a nose gear, will release on SimWorks Studios’ own store on August 1st according to the announcement made on Facebook.
It’ll be priced at €14.99, but it’s also coming to the official in-sim marketplace as soon as Microsoft clears it, priced at $19.99. When it releases on the official marketplace, it’ll become available for Xbox on top of PC.
You can take a look at a few screenshots below.
The version for Microsoft Flight Simulator has been created with the support of Van’s Aircraft’s own factory and real pilots, and the 3D models have been scanned from real specimens.
A paint kit will be made available the week prior to release, so fans will be able to start creating custom liveries ahead of time.
The aircraft has been in development for a very long time, and it’s nice to finally see it approach the finishing line.
