While we already knew he was coming as the second character of the season pass following Uzuki, during the event we got to see him in action and hear him voiced by Hinata Tadokoro.

We saw him in Exe:Late[st] and Exe:Late cl-r, but he wasn’t playable. Players will finally be able to control him in battle starting on February 20, 2025.

You can check out the trailer below and be happy that you (possibly) avoided all the 262632535 “presented by Chipotle” I was hit by before getting to this reveal.

If you’re unfamiliar with Under Night In-Birth II Sys:Celes, it’s the official sequel of Under Night In-Birth, and it was released in January 2024 for PS5, PS4, PC, and Nintendo Switch.

The 2D fighting franchise by French Bread debuted all the way back in 2012 and has been quite niche for several years.

That being said, it has recently become more well-known leading to its inclusion as a main event at EVO in 2019 and then in 2024 following the release of Sys:Celes. The game will return in the 2025 edition between August 1 and August 3. You could say that it’s the Cinderella of fighting games, now turned Disney princess.

In other fighting game news, today we also learned about the new characters coming to Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising as part of the Character Pass Season 2, Galleon, Wilnas, Meg, and Ilsa.
