Today, Dovetail Games and Incredible Trains announced that the Train Sim World 7 London Overground Mildmay line will expand on October 22, 2026.
Initially detailed in the recent roadmap reveal, Train Sim World 7 London Overground Mildmay Line Richmond Extension includes about five miles of track, five new stations, and an expanded timetable to the existing Stratford-Willesden Junction Route. The extension will be available as a free update for existing owners, extending the route west beyond Willesden Junction to Richmond and introducing several new features and improvements.
The original route allows players to operate the BR Class 378/2 Capitalstar across the London Overground corridor between Stratford and Willesden Junction. The Richmond Extension builds on that experience, adding stops at Acton Central, South Acton, Gunnersbury, Kew Gardens, and Richmond, extending the journey through West London and introducing additional railway operations along the way.

The new section also introduces more detailed simulation features, including working in-cab CCTV screens for the Class 378 and audible passenger announcements. Players using advanced simulation settings can monitor platforms from the cab, adding another layer of realism to station stops and departure procedures.
Additional gameplay will be available to players who own compatible Train Sim World add-ons. Owners of the London Overground Suffragette line can operate the BR Class 710 on the expanded route, while compatible District line content unlocks playable services between Richmond and Gunnersbury. Additional AI traffic will also help bring the expanded railway and its interchange points to life.
The extension introduces an expanded timetable, allowing Class 378 services to continue beyond Willesden Junction through the five new stations to Richmond. The route’s new western terminus and connections with other railway services add variety for players running London Overground trains and watching surrounding traffic.
Alongside the release, the London Overground Mildmay line: Stratford – Willesden Junction Route Add-On will increase to $39.99. Players who already own the add-on will receive the Richmond Extension at no additional cost, while those considering purchasing the route can still buy it at the current price before the extension launches and receive the expanded content for free.
Train Sim World 7 is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC (Steam & Epic Games Store), and is also playable on Steam Deck. For more information on this, other previous expansions, and upcoming content, be sure to check back to Simulation Daily for updates.
